Romney (Romney Leigh Getty) is from Ontario, Canada and is gaining momentum since the release of her debut CD, Fill in Your Gray. Romney and Bro Jeff have been touring internationally inside the last five years, and will continue following the release of her second album.

Romney's debut CD (Fill in Your Gray), completed via her family operated, Augustus Records, has been picked up for UK/EU distribution. It has thus far received an excellent reception, garnering critical acclaim and gaining airplay in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The material has received significant airplay on BBC Radio 2 throughout the UK. The track "There'll Be Change" has gone out over Air Canada's En-route in-flight station, and the track "Someone to Somebody" has also seen rotation in the US on stations such as Z107.7 FM in St. Louis, Missouri. During his nationally syndicated show in UK, BBC Radio 2 presenter, Bob Harris described her as "a woman with a really terrific voice. This is gritty and real stuff." She is also making her mark as a live performer. At one performance in London, England, Americana-UK noted "...a definate spark. She's one to watch."

Romney has recently completed her second album, "Ramblin' Girl". Produced by Dan Achen (City in Colour, Miniatures, frmr Junkhouse) at Catherine North studio in Hamilton, Ont., the second album conveys a haunting alt-country sound that lends itself to Romney's dynamic vocals.

Romney has been named the Toronto Independant Music Awards' (TIMA) Best New Country Artist (2007), and has completed tours of the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Appearances have included club shows and festival dates amongst acts ranging from Joe Cocker, KT Tunstall, Billy Bragg, David Wilcox, The Duhks, The Bottle Rockets, Amy Winehouse, Kevin Breit, New Model Army, and Jill Sobule to Kelly Jo Phelps, the Levellers, Kinnie Star, Michael Frant's Spearhead, Toby Keith, Dallas Frasca, Liz Stringer, Rosie Burgess, Ash Grunwald, etc. Romney and Jeff, together and apart, have performed at festivals in the UK, US, and Canada and Australia, and at club venues ranging from Toronto's legendary Horseshoe Tavern and Club 279 (Hard Rock Cafe), to New York's Bitter End and CBGB's, to Austin's legendary Antone's, to London, England's Borderline as well as Brisbanes Troubadour, Melbournes Espy Hotel etc. Romney will release the new album upon her return from New Zealand and Australia in a few months, check website for tidbits of some very special guest appearances on the album!
